Happenings and Suchlike!
1. Beautiful weather at the beginning of the week. Becoming cold. This morning we had snow!
Hammock out and laundry on the line on Monday.
2. This kitty hangs around a lot. Never sure where he’s going to show up. He’s a cutie.
3. Beautiful sunshine streaming in the window, casting beams of light and creating different facets of beauty.
4. Busy planner. Savoring the words written on my Saturday and looking forward to spending time with my man and laughing with him and enjoying a day with him and with friends.
5. Sidewalk surprise. In a way. We wanted to put in sidewalk, but didn’t have a certain time planned. This project got bumped up to happening-now-status when our neighbor called and wasΒ pouring cement close by and could have cement added to the truck headed our direction, for the sidewalkΒ and for a small project at the farm.
It’s fun to have it in. I’m loving the shape of it. Thanks to a couple of our neighbor’s construction crew guys for forming and shaping and helping Matthew get it ready.
6. Banana bread and butter
7. Valentine’s Day approaching. We made heart-shaped cornmeal rolls.
I like Valentine’s Day. I’d seen a cute idea for making some valentines, but I never got them done. Another year, another time, perhaps.
8. Valentine Cookies.Β We did these for Valentine’s a couple of years ago. They are fun.
9. Cookie pops. Super easy, super cute, super fun! Gonna have to remember this idea. {There’s that kitty.} {He is very well behaved with impeccable manners and does not get into stuff.}
10. White Chocolate Raspberry Cake. You should make one. Mine wasn’t as pretty as my friend, Carolyn’s is. It is yummy! I like trying new recipes.
11. Farmlife. You never know what’s going to happen. Sprayer arriving.
12. Concrete for sidewalk.
13. Our girlies, of course! We got to baby-sit, so their Dad and Mom could have a few hours and a lovely-at-home dinner for their anniversary. {Their anniversary is on Valentine’s Day, so they can just roll it all together.}
We just gathered around on the floor and enjoyed watching and laughing and talking to them.
14. This baby! She is growing up way too fast. Although, her mama doesn’t completely mind, because she likes to get up a lot at night and maybe as she gets a little older, she’ll sleep longer stretches.
15. Trivia and Trifles again ~
dryer part ordered, dryer part arrived, dryer-fix-it-farmer-man got it put back together and it is working again. Hooray! Thank-you dear, farmer handy-man.
I’ve been thinking about touchstones and stones of remembrances in the last couple weeks and talked about it a bit on Friday. Then I read this postΒ andΒ this special idea for lunchbox packing and for making memories..

John 16:33
I have told you these things so that in Me you mayΒ have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then am I strong.
Thinking about all the voices and ideas and how everyone has their way or their thing or their suggestion. Thinking about being inspired by others, but just being directed by God on our individual paths and being relevant and in the right place, according to His plan.
The new week is off and rolling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feeling a little breathless after reading about your week! I love these glimpses into your everyday life. Loving the new sidewalk especially the shape of it. That kitty looks like the kind I wwould want.if I had a kitty. Those are darling little girls and I know you had so much fun with them. The baby looks so fun to cuddle. Your food looks delish as always. I’d like to hear more about your Valentine’s Day out.
I love the shape of the walk too! So grateful that there are people up to such tasks, cause I certainly couldn’t do it!
The kitty is a very nice one. And that baby keeps getting more fun. She is a darling!
Our day out was super fun. I keep thinking about it. A very sweet memory.
