Nieces!!! What more is there to say?!
Lovely new yard decor!
Flamingos. Plastic flamingos!
“Someone” stuck these in among my stuff coming home with me from my Grandma’s. {No names ~ but the conspirators very closely resemble my big sister and little brother.}
My husband and my daughter then sent them on home with said little brother of mine.
He visited the other day. After he left, flamingos were found fluttering happily at the end of my driveway beside our mailbox. They seemed quite happy to hang out there.
My dear daughter brought them up by the porch later on. Hence, they have just been hanging out there for now.
I texted my brother to let him know of my excitement over this new delightful decor and just in time………..since we invited a few friends for New Year’s Eve.
We’ve tossed around a few ideas for flamingos, numbered three. I think they’re going to be and have a lot of fun! 😉
My husband snapped a photo of this sign with his phone several weeks back. I was going to include it in a post and never did. At least I don’t think I did. Oh well, if I did. I love it and it’s a good reminder, so it wouldn’t matter if I’d post it every so often.
We had a relaxing Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was nice.
Our computer is acting up. What’s your favorite brand?
Someone in Latvia charged some kind of gaming using our credit card. Our credit card company promptly called to see if the charge was from us, since it didn’t fit with our normal pattern. “Um,no. Not us. We aren’t generally in Latvia, nor do we charge gaming charges.” Now, the hassle of credit card canceled and new one issued.
Watching Pride & Prejudice. My son’s take ~ All that for three marriages???? I don’t think he really gets Jane Austin.
Yummy, yummy chip & dip supper at our friends’ house.
It’s a Wonderful Life~watched with friends. Love, love this movie. #classic
Time spent contemplating how much kind words mean and matter. I was blessed by some very sweet words from a couple of people at my Grandma’s viewing and funeral.
Also musing about the opposite. How pretense and flattery steal one’s dignity. How, there comes a time to respectfully put your foot down and say, “No more.” How words can be spoken in a way that sound good on the surface, but underneath they mock and make fun of. Bullying doesn’t have to be pushy. It can be very quiet, subtle and degrading.
Either God was God-or He wasn’t . There was no moving Him in and out of my life with the mood I happened to be in. ~Josh Jones in The Winds of Autumn
Signing off with the words one of my great-aunt’s always signed our Christmas card with~
