I went back and read my very first Hello Monday post. So many things that stay somewhat the same and yet how quickly things change too.
Swim lessons and kittens and birthdays and produce from my sweet mother-in-law and her productive garden. These things are a typical part of our summers, but I’m always surprised at how much younger my children look when I look at photos that are only a little over a year old.
We were working towards our someday kitchen and already it seems like we’ve had it for always, even though it hasn’t been quite a year.
Life. Changes. Good times. Bad times. Grumpy times. Sad times. Joy and smiles. Laughter and tears. Moments making up our days and years.
Link up your week’s moments and memories below!

Good-bye October…you flew by…like every other month…just plain disappeared…Hello November!
- We dumped the last load from the circle of beans that we custom cut, and ran back and forth and back and forth, trundling trucks and equipment home.
- We had a gray foggy Monday. Candles and cozy blankets kind of day!
- That thing about wiping up messes right away in the kitchen before they have time to dry and harden and it saves time because you don’t have to scrub at it later??? It’s true.
- We wrote up laws for our Lego village
- We spent a lot of time on trampoline and tire swing.
- We watched the documentary about the Dust Bowl. It’s official. I WOULD HAVE GONE CRAZY. {Crazier than I am now.}
- We took a trip to the city for appointments and lunch and truck parts and a stop at Target and a pumpkin pie concrete from Freddy’s.
- We had more gray and fog.
- We stayed at Grandmas house.
- We did bookwork and cleaned and organized the office and put up a much brighter light in there too. Hooray!
- We played Popcorn on the trampoline. And came up with a new version called Fast Popcorn.
- Renae had a migraine. I was so upset. I really, really didn’t want to pass that on to my children.
- We worked on the combine~getting prepped for milo harvest.
- We got excited ’cause Grandpa and Grandma from far away are going to come visit! Double hooray!

Wonderful memory-making moments that are so important in the overall development and well-being of children. I so enjoyed reading this today. π
That’s one thing I feel like blogging has done for me…made me stop and appreciate the simple everyday things in our life that are easy to take for granted.
Sounds like you guys had another busy and fun week. And I love your autumn vignette! So pretty.
Thank-you! I think autumn decor is some of my favorite. I don’t do anything that major, just little touches here and there.
