Hope.
Isn’t this what all of our hearts need? Some days more than others. Sometimes it feels that hope has vanished. We can’t seem to see it. We can’t find it. Discouragement and heavy cares hold us hostage.
Our world has felt crazy here in March with panic, fear, and trepidation dogging people’s days.
Sometimes we need a simple reminder about what hope looks like and how to hold on.
{On the Bright Side by Melanie Shankle is a great book recommendation if you’d like a light and funny read with an encouraging message during these days of March 2020}
It’s perfect timing to share this sweet picture storybook, Little Mole Finds Hope, by Glenys Nellist.
Let’s look inside, and then ENTER THE GIVEAWAY at the end of the post, because, YES, I get to give a copy away! Hooray! Thank you to Beaming Books for sharing with us.
Little Mole is feeling sad. He’s not sure why. His wise Mama introduces hope to him. She shows him a variety of ways our world beams hope.
Something I truly love about children’s books is the simplicity of the lessons they teach, but the profoundness contained within as well.
This book is a great way to talk about hope with your kiddos, but the thing is, this book talks about hope to me too! I may be past forty, but I still appreciate an encouraging reminder to look for hope in the many daily miracles around us. This book made me smile. It prompted me to look for hope and dream of spring with all the reminders it brings.
Such a fun book for this time of year, as spring begins to tease and winter has rather worn out its welcome for many of us!
Last year in September we shared and held a giveaway for The Wonder That Is You.
Guess what?! It came out in a board book version at the beginning of March! It’s super sweet. I always loved a basket of board books occupying the corner of the living room when my now-teens were littles! 🙂
Here are the two versions together. So fun! Storybook or board book!
If you’d like to add a copy of Little Mole Finds Hope to your bookshelves, enter for a chance to win one! Or pop over here and order a copy!
Have a delightful week, friends! May you find hope in unexpected places!
I received a copy to review and all opinions are my own. This giveaway is sponsored by the publisher, Beaming Books and is open to entrants living in the USA.

My kiddos are home, yay! We have been planting up a storm.we have amazing weather right now 💗💗💗💗
That sounds fantastic!!!
I am love being a Lao Lao (grandma) to three boys who live too far away. I love watching spring wake up with bulbs popping up from the earth. And I love Glenys stories.
I love watching everything pop up and green up in the spring too.
I know all about too many miles in between. We have one set of grandparents who live far away!
Yes! Glenys’ books are lovely!
I am able to help my granddaughter continue her school lessons as she is off for the Covid19 school closing.
I am well and content.
This is the first day of Spring!
Blessings!
Bring on spring!!! I love your list. May your week be peaceful and full of happy little things.

Woohoo! Here’s finding the bright side! 🙂 I’ve been burning candles this week too.
