I was able to help my husband haul hay.
I use the term “help” very loosely. My “help” consisted of riding along, chatting, and taking pictures.
It was fun.
Well, it was fun for me. I could sit in the air-conditioned truck. And read my book. Or get it out and take some pictures. Then, climb back into the air conditioning.
I like it when it works out for me to “help” my husband on jobs like this because
- I am able to spend time with him
- While he works, I read.
- Or relax.
- And enjoy the quiet.
- Or listen to my iPod.
- Since I usually take everything but the kitchen sink along.
- I take pictures.
- I don’t have to do dishes or laundry. {till I get back :)}{plus I didn’t bring the kitchen sink}
- And I enjoy the beauty of a Kansas landscape.

I could use a date right now! Any date with my hubby is great:) What did the kids do while you had your ‘hauling hay’ date?
And I loved your ‘kitchen sink’ comments!!
My kiddos were at Grandmas!
Oh my goodness am I ever homesick for KS. Love the pictures. You are a good photographer. But especially love that you love to be with your husband! Praise God for good marriages. A blessing not to be taken lightly. Thanks for sharing the beautiful pics, not the least of which is that sharp looking Peterbilt!
Great picks! We have a field in our backyard and the kids and I are itchen’ to go play on the bales 😉
