We’ve been ready to get this harvest started!
We’re glad for the rain we’ve had, but we’re ready to cut wheat. The grain hasn’t wanted to dry down and we’ve had damp mornings. I got up this morning and looked out and it looked like Ohio! Gray, foggy, damp, humid. Not a bit like hot, dry, Kansas harvest weather!
But the sun came out and chased the damp away and the temps rose up to 90+ and late afternoon my good farmer man took his combine and his farmgirl rode along and cut a sample of wheat.
13.7 moisture.
Time to cut.
It’s a start!
The God of harvest praise, with loud thanksgiving raise……….
Posting pictures and off to bed. Good night.
