Father, we praise you for life and for love,
Father we praise you in heaven above,
Father, we praise you for your mighty power,
Father, we praise you this day and this hour,
Father, we thank you, for we’re richly blessed,
Father, we’re sheltered, we’re fed and we’re dressed,
Father, we thank you for sunshine and rain,
Father, we thank you and praise you again,
Father, we thank you for blankets so cozy,
Father, for children’s cheeks, plump, red, and rosy,
Father, we thank you we can grow and learn,
Father, your grace that we don’t have to earn,
Father, we thank you for rest and for sleep,
Father, for all of the crops that we reap,
Father, for gardens full of thy bounty,
Father, for kittens fluffy and downy,
Father, we thank you for sunshine and trees,
Father, we thank you for pumpkins and peas,
Father, we sing of your mercy and grace,
Father, we sing of Jerusalem’s gates,
Father, the giver of all that is good,
Father, the giver of water and food,
Father, Who sees when a sparrow does fall,
Father, Creator, Maker of all,
Father, we pause to give thanks from our hearts,
Father, the One from where all that’s good starts,
Father, who shelters us under your wing,
Father, thanksgiving and great praise we bring!

Father, we thank for those who use the talents You have given them and with these talents they praise You and bless us. Deborah, thank you for giving your time to write this poem.
