Guess what is making me happy today? If you read Yarn Along yesterday, you already know!!
THIS book and ………………
THIS Giveaway!
Jennifer Dukes Lee is giving one of YOU a signed copy of The Happiness Dare!
How fun is that?? So much fun! A very happy fun.
I haven’t quite finished my copy yet, but I’ve really loved turning the pages and soaking in the message.
In Chapter 12, titled “The Principle of Good Enough,” Jennifer Dukes Lee gives this advice.
Good Enough is Good Enough.
This resonated with me in the same way the quote and tagline “It Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect to be Beautiful” from Myquillyn Smith does.
We can step down from the endless pursuing of perfection and find happiness in the good in us and clasp that it is good enough.
In her research, Jennifer Dukes Lee settled onto what she calls five happiness styles. I have enjoyed the specific chapters for each style.
You can go to her site and take the free assessment and find out what your style is. Go here! Tell me what style you find yourself to be. 🙂
I find myself scoring very closely on most of them. I think Giver and Doer come out on top, but I relate to aspects in all of the styles. I think this means I have too many things I like to do or want to try. Ha!
And I love this quote ~
Happiness isn’t apart from God. It is a part of Him.

Being with my family, going to church, listening to music, and reading are some things that help me to be happy.
I love your list!
Oh how I would love to read this book. This has been a very hard year for me. I have been struggling to find happiness, joy and God’s path in this time.
Your blog brings a simplicity and joy to my heart, that reminds me to appreciate the small joys of now. And know that God will handle the hard difficulties. So I give him my trust. And appreciate my blessings every day.
I’m sorry to hear you are going through a tough time. But I understand. We too, have been faced with some struggles and tough things recently. Life always has the hard. The effect of sin and evil. Yet, the joys are there too. It seems I have to search for them more at some times than others.
BUT God IS faithful and trusting Him gets me through.
Thank-you for your sweet words. You blessed me very much by them.
