It’s fun to hang out at the field when there’s a combine running.
It’s fun to watch. It’s fun to take pictures. It’s fun to ride. It’s fun to race around the field. It’s fun to play in the truck. It’s just fun. And since I am so organized and efficient and everything is always tidied up and in place and running like clockwork, we went and hung out at the field for the afternoon.
In reality, we went to hang out at the field because
- I wanted to ride in the combine and hadn’t yet
- the field would soon be all harvested
- I wanted to take pictures
- it was an absolutely beautiful day-gorgeous
- we took lunch to my man and my brother
Those were a few reasons. And here are a few pictures of fun at the field.
I think this must be sort of like Anne of Green Gables walking the ridge pole of the roof. Thankfully no one was rendered unconscience.
Keeping well hydrated..
more hydration..
So fun to play in the dirt-it just is when you’re a kiddo.
The pan of chocolate- peanut butter cookie bars that we took along pretty much performed a vanishing act by the time we packed up and trundled home. The camera came away with many photos. Photos which are still waiting to be transferred to their proper files. We drug home some dirt and dust and a few sneezes and mixed in with it all, some memories.
Sun. Dirt. Corn. Photos. Food. Fun.
Looks like fun. I know my girls would have loved it. oh the many miles between… sigh.
Love it when you say “My man”. Did you know you got that from Gma B? I remember some of the granddaughters getting quite tickled at her when she talked about “her man”! But I love the expression. I’m amazed at our grandson’s LONG legs! Both your kiddos are growing fast. Praising God for the good memories they are making. Love the pictures but they do make me very homesick for everyone. Missed the pic of your bro! What happened to it? LOL XXOO to all.
I think of Grandma when I say it! 🙂 I like it too. He is “my man” and I am glad! You will have to talk to my bro about pics of him! Maybe I can get him to sign an agreement!
Oh – that picture of your girl and her daddy…precious!
My daughter thinks her daddy is pretty special! 🙂 And, I, of course, agree!
Our kids just love going to the field too! We are deep into bean harvest now and I spend afternoons, after homeschool, hauling them to daddy! I think combine (actually “mombine”) was all of our boys first words!
