Several years ago, I started choosing somewhat of a theme for my Christmas gift wrapping.
One year I used all silver paper and purple ribbon for all the gifts.
One year I had really cute, sparkly-colored, polka-dot paper and striped paper and chevron paper that coordinated.
Another year I did a deep red polka-dot paper with ribbons and button embellishments. You can see some of those packages over here ~
I also often use real ribbon on the gifts instead of the curly paper ribbon. I love real ribbon! That reminds me. I saw the neatest ornaments created out of ribbon in a magazine. I tore out the page and since I have a WHOLE YEAR, I think they would be a lot of fun to make for next year. We shall see.
Back to gift wrap.
This year I bought several rolls of paper at Ikea that I liked together. Then I found a roll of Kraft paper with gold dots at Hobby Lobby and added it to the mix.
I made paper flowers and used gold and silver bells and buttons for the center and I’m using them on the gifts this year. I loved how it all came together!
Hop over here for a DIY for the paper flowers!
I so enjoy having a gift wrap theme. It makes the gifts look so pretty all piled together.
Beautiful packages! Both my daughters are so expert at wrapping up pretty gifts. I’m happy to just get some Walmart paper wrapped around mine enough to cover up what’s inside and get the proper name tag on it! ?
Well, I enjoy wrapping gifts and making packages pretty. 🙂
