We’ve had snow twice and cold weather in November and it definitely brought a Christmas feel earlier than sometimes.
I did some ordering and shopping in the early fall and I wrapped some gifts early too.
I loved that I was able to do that this year.
I truly love Christmas and often it all feels pushed into too few of days. I’m slowly learning I enjoy seasons so much more when I have time, when I can savor, when I can do the things and soak them in, instead of feeling rushed.
I put up my Christmas tree early and have simply been grateful to celebrate Christmas and embrace doing what I love and what I can and letting other things go.
Hurry and bustle rumples my soul at times and this year I am focusing on {trying to anyway} 😉 the things that bring me joy and making time for them.
I love so many of the ideas and traditions for Christmas, but the reality is, four weeks is not very long and each good day rolls along swiftly in what I call an-ordinary-week/month, {whatever ordinary is} let alone a month of holidays and family get togethers and other extras we add in.
Thus, this idealistic girl must pick and choose and let go of some of the list of ALL THE THINGS to love and to do to celebrate!
I’m happy to discover that stretching it out a bit has created space for me to embrace the happiness of this season.
