Once upon a time in Instagramland, summer was slipping to an end and cooler temperatures were tiptoeing closer and autumn was through the trees and around the bend in the path, not quite visible, but approaching.
School sessions and schedules were starting in again and many people were posting pictures of back-to-school and last-days-at-the-pool and pumpkins and changing of decor.
While scrolling through Instagramland, one mama spied several photos, involving books and decor, that caught her eye and sparked inspiration.
Thus, when she had some spare moments, she began to think a bit more and pull out some old books and things. The coffeetable was calling to be dusted anyway, and the decor in the kitchen was just a bit bedraggled from summer’s heat.
The books were tried out a few different places. The winning place became in a wooden tray and this became the beginning of a book tablescape.
The mama was pleased with the cross between school and fall and she’d long loved the look of books and even more, of old books.
As she moved this and that and enjoyed house and home and books and creating home and cultivating beauty, she became a wee bit warm. Removing her cardigan, she tossed it on the post of a chair. A few glances later, she realized what a great prop it made and photo opportunity and how well the cardigan went with the whole school/autumn feel.
Oh, just look at those lovely spines withΒ excitingΒ stories inside!
And what a pretty tablescape they make!
