Hello Monday! Hello to what we did last week!
We played with this little miss and we ordered a baby gift for our new baby niece and cousin. We went together with family for a portable highchair and we found a couple of cute little dresses to wrap up for the new baby.
We read comics. My oldest brother-in-law gets the Sunday paper and then kindly passes it on to me each week, so I can get the coupons out of it. The coupons and the comics. That’s what we like.
We played outside. A lot.
We Some of us were excited to see the dandelions popping up. My daughter loves them. My son joined in the photos I was snapping.
We climbed the basketball goal.
We prevailed on our sister to toss the basketball up to us, so we could drop it through the hoop.
We had fruit. Isn’t fruit pretty? I love all God’s designs in His creation.
We had the new window above the sink put in! And the trim around the windows and doors outside is almost finished. The carpenters doing it for us, come back today and finish.
We got new slippers. They make me smile.
We finished putting fertilizer on our circle.
We made sourdough bread. My mother-in-law has sourdough starter and every so often she gives me some of the extra and we make bread. I feel spoiled to get to make it now and then, but not have to feed the starter myself. She also brought us a chocolate-cherry cake to finish, since they went back to see the new baby this past weekend.
We had rain last week. We made monster cookie balls and fruitcups. We played croquet. We went to a funeral for a dear, older neighbor. We worked on irrigation motors-part of my man’s new job. We had snow/sleet. We had a friend and her boys over, so we could finally give her birthday gift to her. We worked on the four-wheeler and the go-cart. We watched the big, wild turkey meander through the wheat field. We hope that the turkey hunters don’t get all the turkeys. Well, the kids and I do. My man says that turkeys can be a nuisance and they kill the quail.
We went to the eye doctor, again, about contacts. I think one of the nurses there thinks I’m just trying to get free contacts or thinks I’m crazy. I may be crazy, but I’m just wanting to find contacts that will work for me and not break the bank. I wore Acuvue Oasys for over a year and have not gotten along with them all that well. I had a lot of trouble with them fogging over. If I would take them out and rinse them off, then they’d be fine for a while. But that is a nuisance! So far, I haven’t come up with anything that seems a lot better, except for daily contacts. And they add up in price much more quickly than monthly contacts. I guess I’m getting old. The eye doctor mentioned allergies and I really don’t think I deal with allergies, but maybe I have stuff bothering me more than I think. If you have any contact advice or solutions,{other than the liquid variety} I’d love to hear it!
What did you do last week?
We have giveaways going on here and here! Go check them out!

Sounds like you guys had a busy week as usual! I wear daily contacts. I can’t deal with them if they aren’t dailys. They get gunky (maybe that’s what you are calling fogged up) and it’s super annoying! I hope you can find some that will work for you!

I think it’s looking like I may have to go with dailies. The whole gunky/foggy thing is super annoying. They did give me a pair to try of my old kind of monthlies. I haven’t tried them yet, so we’ll see.
I really have liked the dailies samples, just wanted something cheaper!
I switched to dailies a couple of years ago. Love them! I was having trouble with allergies and it took care of the problem. I ordered mine through contactlensking.com because they were so much cheaper than from the eye doc.
I have really liked the samples of dailies from the eye doctor. I was just hoping to get away with something cheaper!
I have ordered online before and will have to check it out again.
I don’t wear the daily contacts. When my eyes fog over it’s because my eyes are getting tired and/or dry. I just put drops in them and it clears everything right up!
Thanks so much for linking up to the “Making Your Home Sing Monday” linky party today! 🙂

Drops will help me, but not for very long. I usually have to take them out and rinse them with solution to make them better. I’ve tried different solutions, tried to pay attention to things like being tired, weather etc. and I just haven’t come up with anything! Who knows?
Sounds like a fun busy week! All but the snow and sleet sounds wonderful!!
I want surgery on my eyes so I don’t have to deal with glasses or contacts either one anymore. i just bought 4 boxes of contacts online and i am hoping I never buy contacts again. planning to look into the laser surgery next year.
