Renae made these cute pennant banners back in the summer. She made them for the party she was planning. Since then we’ve used them several places. She has kindly shared them with me and it makes me so happy! π
She put one on the big basket in the basement and it is so pleasing. It just added a TOUCH!!! Then before the baby shower for my friend, we hung one up in the basement window as a sort of decorative curtain. Except, not a curtain. A pennant banner! I really like this touch, too.
Renae made the pennants removable. They are double sided and you can slip a ribbon through the top. This way you can mix and match. Change the number. Change the banner prints. Change the ribbon!
She has used them in her closet, on her headboard, and on her wall.
They’re so fun!
My sister-in-law made a pennant banner for a baby shower she helped host. It was super simple. She cut out the pennants and stitched them to a piece of rick-rack. She made them out of a single layer and didn’t hem them or anything. It would be fun to try. I bet you could even hot glue them on if you didn’t want to sew them or do not sew. The rick-rack added a fun detail.
