The calendar whispers April across the upturned month. Daffodils nod bright smiles brushed with buttery tones by the rockway in my backyard.
Purple, white, pink. Hyacinths sway a graceful dance in between chickweed and scruffy grass.
Bradford pear buds twist around branches, waiting, waiting for a tiny bit warmer to burst open in dazzling display.
Baby wheat greens, greens, grows. The few tenths and then an inch of rain have watered life into thirsty, thirsty soil and the baby roots drank deeply seeking a refreshing and desperately needed nutrients.
Spring is my favorite season.
I love the sky and the blue and the baby wheat and the colors and the growing.
I love the promise of renewal played out in real-time.
I love the bird song and open windows and an embracing of growth.
I love upturned faces, eyes closed, basking in the warmth of sunshine and sixty-seven degrees.
Spring showcases the way God is always making a way.
Always bringing forth newness, creativity, life, beauty, and redemption.
Always, always, always.
For you today, comrade friends, I have a giveaway package for spring.
A lovely copy of Waymaker, a mug with waves, and a convocation of stickers!

“Turns out you can be about bankrupted, shamed, walked out on, labeled, ghosted, slandered, diagnosed, abandoned, cut off, humiliated, guilty, fired, vilified, charged, destroyed, ruined, devastated, grieved, wrecked, and left for dead in a million ways, and this is the ocean floor, this is at its base: When you know you are fully known and still fully loved, nothing can still scare you. There is a reason that God is Love and He is with us: Because this is all we need.”

I ahve a couple of Sally Hepworth books…’The Younger Wife’ and ‘The Family Next Door’.
Fun to hear!
Everything! I need to make time to read again, maybe in the next stage of my life I will get back to books.
Book planning for the next stage is always a good plan! 🙂
I am reading The New Answers Books 1-4.
I love Ann – her words are always so good for the soul!
also – I just finished reading Gentle and Lowly by Dane Ortlund! His book Deeper is next on my list!
Indeed they are!
I’m currently reading “The Lady’s Mine” by Francine Rivers and making my way through Ruth Chou Simon’s’ “Truthfilled” Bible study. SO GOOD!
Also, the hot cinnamon tea from Harney & Sons is one of my FAVORITES! 😍😍😍
Two friends and I worked through Truthfilled last year in February and March. Very good and so beautiful!
Hot cinnamon and hot apple spice from Harneys are both favorites of ours. Yay!
Awww that’s awesome! I’m really loving it and not rushing through. I’m trying to savor the things she’s written and the writing prompts. So good!
And yay for more Harney&Sons fans!! 😆♥️
I just started “Miracle at the Higher Grounds Cafe” by Max Lucado,. I’ve read several of his devotionals, but this will be my first time reading one of his novels.
I read his novel a few years ago. 🙂 I enjoyed it and it is on my bookshelves. Max Lucado is a favorite of mine and I have a whole shelf filled with his books.
too many books
So very true!!! 🙂
I’m currently reading This Golden State and have You and Me at the End of the World up next.
I have so many books on my reading list! The newest one I would like to read in its entirety is “In the Beginning” by Alister McGrath, which talks about the history of the King James Bible. I read bits and pieces for a research paper, but it was so interesting I’d love to read the whole thing.
