Easter is Coming
Look at this board book! It’s absolutely gorgeous and it shares a wonderful message of the hope that “Easter is coming!” The book begins with Creation, shares the birth of Jesus and continues through to His death and the celebration of His resurrection. The artwork, details and colors are amazing. This is a larger size board book at approximately 8 x 8. If you’ve been wanting an Easter gift for the littles in your life, I give this book all the shout-outs!

Mended ~ this book is written by a mother and daughter team on the subject of mother/daughter relationships. While it focuses on mother/daughter relationships, many of the tools and lessons shared can be applied to any relationships we have in life.
Helen McIntosh grew up with a mother who faced many personal struggles and battles and Helen didn’t have the blessing of a close relationship with her. Helen knew she wanted something different when it came to her relationship with her own daughter. In Mended, the authors talk about building bridges instead of walls, breaking and resetting generational patterns, and conversations that lead to restoration.
This is a thoughtful, insightful, and lovely book. I’m blessed to have a wonderful mother and a wonderful daughter. I appreciate the insight and stories in this book and the way they push me to more deeply appreciate the relationships I have and the thought they provoke to continue deepening and molding good relationships.
{Both of these books were given to me for review and all opinions are completely my own! Amazon links are my affiliate.}
Projects ~ my projects around here lately have been some deeper cleaning and decluttering! It’s been wonderful! It’s been a loooooong time since I’ve felt well enough to dig into a few things like I’ve wanted to. I love organization and organizing, even though we constantly have messes and clutter flowing through our house! 🙂 I reorganized the bookshelves I have and a little reluctantly, parted with some readers and children’s chapter books we no longer read often and aren’t any of our absolute favorites. I’m quite happy with my bookshelves now! I still dream of a library room with walls of beautiful, built-in bookshelves! 🙂 But, I’ll be content with the shelves I have for now and grateful to have shelves, books, and the ability to read!!!

I’m hosting a women’s event in a little less than two weeks, so that’s my other current project. Most details are in place. I have cookies to make and need to finish pulling together a few things for the giveaway/door prizes we’re giving away at the event.
Rachel Anne Ridge is traveling here from Texas to share her heart, words and books with us. I’m so excited! I absolutely love Rachel’s gentle way of writing. It feels like sitting down with a friend who throws a comforting around you and whispers “Me too.”
If you’re local to my area, please join us for this women’s event! Email me, if you need the details!
I’d also love your prayers for, over, and around this event! Thank-you!
Have any book recommendations for me this week?! 🙂
