Winter Arrived!
Monday started at as a beautiful fall day with sunshine and seventy degrees. In the afternoon, the wind picked up from the north and the sunshine started to disappear and the temp started to drop.
Winter arrived along with a big wind and cold temperatures. It settled in for the week and appears to want to stay.
It snowed softly and quietly in the night Saturday night and we woke up to white outside on Sunday morning.
Winter means firewood needed! I enjoyed looking out my kitchen window at the men working away. I know ~ it means work for them, but it was cozy to watch them.
Organized a couple of closets upstairs and tucked ViewMasters into a basket.
They haven’t been out for a while. Somehow technology has advanced from ViewMasters and seems to win out. 🙂
Morning hot drinks with friends ~
We had this little visitor this week. Matthew found him along the road one cold morning.
It was quite an event. Before Matthew came home, I’d received a text from a nearby neighbor asking if we were missing a puppy, because one had shown up at their door.
Then, another neighbor called and left us a message that she was headed to town and had met and picked up a puppy and did we know where it belonged or want to come see it? She said her husband wouldn’t be too impressed if he thought she was bringing home another pet, but she stopped and opened her car door and it jumped right in and, “What was I to do?” 🙂
We did some texting and calling and found out the puppies all belonged to some neighbors a few miles away.
The first neighbors ended up finding another puppy and later in the day they gathered up all four puppies and delivered them back home.
Renae was very happy when we found out where they belonged. She was sure we needed to keep the puppy and Dad & Mom were as equally as sure we didn’t.
I love how snow mounds up on endcaps. So pretty!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Your pictures here are so pretty! Glad you found the puppies home. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a view finder. Such a good idea to put them in that basket. 🙂
Thank-you for coming by!
The viewmasters are fun! I like kids’ toys and I like old toys and vintage finds.
