Back in May, I was going to go visit my family and celebrate my sister’s birthday. Our plans got changed and so August found us traveling to Ohio.
While I was there I got to meet this family.
Teresa the Sea Turtle and Perry the Penguin.
Their children~
Pippin the baby penguin.
Crunch and Scales, the twins.
Turso and tiny baby Thoron.
Miss B. got this family all together to introduce them to me and then inquired,
“Do you want to meet their cousins too?”
So I did.
Their cousins~
the crabs,
Claude and Amethyst.
Grilled Chicken~mmmm
Kansas bracelet cuff gifted to me by my sister. I love it! It’s so cool. She bought it from a booth at the Summer Market event. Everything in this booth was made from old license plates. They have an Etsy shop here. Old license plates have always intrigued me. Love some of the decor ideas that use them!
Tucker tried out Grandpa’s tractor!
We visited my cousin and her kiddos for a few hours. The children made some cool sandbox cities.
The fort of my cousins’ kiddos~
Backyard view at my Mom and Dad’s~
My dad planted giant sunflowers.
They are so pretty and quite tall.
But the tall, tall corn has them beat!
We often visit Ohio in the winter, since that is generally a little slower time for the farm. It’s always fun to come to Ohio in the summer and see all the crops and the green yards and the pretty flowers. Things just grow easier, bigger and better back east!

So, so fun to finally get to meet you in person and have lunch! I noticed your cuff that day and forgot to tell you how much I liked it! Of course Jill found it for you 🙂
It WAS so fun! I really enjoyed our lunch and laughs! The cuff def looks like something Jill would find!
We made it home and hopped right back into busy~that’s ok though. Was very good to get home and school had to start sometime! 🙂
Always fun to have you come – and it’s special when it works in the summer! Fun for the kids to get to play outside. We miss you all!
It was fun to be there for a few days and catch up a bit!
