The Christmas season has always been a favorite of mine. I’m sure in part, because of all that is cozy in it. My Christmas tree has been bringing me so much happiness this year. It always does, but the twinkle lights have felt especially hopeful this year.
It feels like the world is a little bit happier at Christmastime. I know there are many situations where a lovely Christmas isn’t the reality. But it feels like a spirit of hope and joy and goodwill plus good tidings and generosity does spill out all over the Christmas season.
I’m grateful for this. What a gift it is. We all need reminders.
I love the definition of the name Emmanuel. God With Us.
God our Father, in His generosity, His overwhelming love for us, came to be with us by sending Jesus as a baby.
Jesus brought hope and was announced by angels declaring good tidings of not just joy, but great joy. Hallelujah!
