Hello to going places and to having company! In the last little-bit-over-a-week this family of introverts has had a fair amount of socializing. 🙂 Things always come in bunches it seems. We had supper with my husband’s brother and wife and baby, twice, we had a family get-together, spent Sunday a week ago at my in-laws, had my husband’s aunt and uncle from Ohio here for lunch on Monday, went out for supper Tuesday evening with extended family, I had lunch out on Wednesday with three of my favorite friends, my husband rode along with a neighbor on Thursday to a milo meeting and luncheon, Friday evening was our second supper with my man’s brother, Sat afternoon, Renae had a teaparty for a friend, and Saturday evening we had supper company. It was all fun. I just had to laugh at it all falling into the same time frame like it did. We enjoy doing things, but we like just being home a lot and don’t have to have a lot extra going on.
Another fun hello and social moment to my week was having a lovely, young lady, who I used to baby-sit for, stop by for a little! She was here from out-of-state visiting a nearby neighbor who she is good friends with.
Hello to oil well duty again! Hello to house project work starting in again. My farmer-turned-carpenter has been working on the porch ceiling and getting ready to install soffit.
Hello to the kiddos having fun with the leftover pieces of wood from the porch ceiling. There were surfers and surfboards on my back porch a couple of afternoons. Hello to beautiful weather towards the end of the week. No wind!! Sunny!! 50’s and 60’s!! It is chilly again this morning.
Hello to a massage! Hello to birthdays fast approaching for the kiddos in this house! Hello to the Olympics not being over-at least not around here. There was a good bit of noise and activity upstairs and there were gymnastics and football games happening. I am very aware of how quickly these days of play and imagination are slipping by. Yet, I do appreciate all the work and help my kiddos are as they keep getting older.
Hello to playing games! Mennonite Manners, Spot-It, and Brain Box USA! Hello to fun and giggles and friendship!
Did you socialize this week?

What a lovely little lady working in your kitchen. She made the table look so pretty. So fun to see what’s going on in your lives. Always enjoy a glimpse of your dream kitchen. Wondering who your visitor was, the one you used to babysit.
It was fun helping her get it ready. We hadn’t had an all out tea party for a while. I love pulling out the dishes and setting a pretty table. And a few fresh flowers can add such a special touch.
Looks like the girls had a great time and the cake looked delicious! 🙂
The cake was delicious! Of course, I think it’s really hard to beat chocolate and peanut butter. One of the little girls didn’t eat any and said she doesn’t care for cake. I think people’s likes and dislikes are so interesting! Probably partly because my husband and kiddos can be fairly picky on their food choices.
Fun pics! Love how cute that cake is and she looked like she was having so much fun icing it. Sounds like a busy week – not sure I could have handled it! I’m turning into a recluse…
