I’ve had my SRT Bible for two years and it’s one of my favorites in my Bible collection. An email bounced into my inbox a little over a week ago inquiring if I was interested in reviewing and offering a giveaway for the new He Reads Truth Bible, and I was delighted to reply with a hardy “Yes!” π
I was happy to receive it, browse through it and take pretty pictures of it, AND show it to you! I’m always thrilled to get to offer quality products in a giveaway for you, friends!
UPDATE: giveaway over and done, but you can still take a peek inside this beautiful Bible!
This was a great time to share this too, since Father’s Day is here!
Here’s a look inside the first few pages and a quick look at some of the beautiful artwork and layout of the Bible.
The HRT and SRT Bibles are available in indexed and standard. My review copy of the HRT is standard. My daughter’s SRT in coral is indexed and my gray SRT is standard and I added custom handmade Bible tabs to it. I love the color they add! See the tabs up close in this post! {Psssttt…..we’re going to have another giveaway coming soon featuring a custom set of Bible tabs in it………. Yay!!!}
Here’s a list of the features from the publisher ~ “Features include 66 hand-lettered key verses, 17 full-color timelines, 21 maps, 126 infographics (including charts, lists, and illustrations), reading plans for every book of the Bible, one-year Bible reading plan, detailed book introductions, key verse list, smyth-sewn binding, two colored ribbon markers, and wide margins for journaling and note taking.”
On all these Bibles, I love that they have two ribbon bookmarkers and I love the coordinating colors of the ribbons. Give me fun details every time!!! π
A few other things you may want to know:
This Bible is thick. It’s not necessarily a grab-and-tuck-in-your-backpack size. The above picture features it well.
While this Bible includes maps and charts and a reading plan, timelines and space for notetaking, it is not a study Bible. It doesn’t contain in-depth explanations and cross-reference like a full-on study Bible does.
If you’re a print book person, you will like the look and feel of this Bible. It also easily lays open flat.
If you’re like me and you enjoy a collection of Bibles, I think this one makes a lovely addition.
There is an index page for all the charts throughout the Bible. Two of the charts quickly caught my eye. One titled Who is Jesus? It lists details about who Jesus is, along with a short explanation and references from each of the four Gospels.
The other chart is titled Jesus’ Parables. The two-page spread shares an alphabetical listing of the stories Jesus taught and illustrated lessons with.
Just like in the SRT, I really love the hand-lettered verses at the beginning of each book of the Bible.
While the SRT Bible includes short devotionals throughout, this HRT version for men does not have devotionals in it.
I like the paper in these Bibles. It isn’t heavy-heavy, but has a little more body to it than some Bible pages. You can see through the pages like in the photo below.
