Good Morning new week!
We just arrived home from a last-minute-let’s-go-for-a-quick-weekend-because-it-rained trip.
We had a total of 4 1/2 inches of rain starting from last Sunday morning through Wednesday evening. Beautiful rain! We’ve certainly needed it. And it rained some more while we were gone. I am not sure what our total amount has been!
We decided to pack up and head west Thursday morning for a weekend in Colorado. Most of our traveling usually takes us in the other direction-east towards Ohio to visit family.
So hello to a few things from last week and rain and travel! And hello to posting more Colorado photos later on.
Hello to working on this little tractor mower and hello to some mowing! Hello to cleaning the front of my house and porch. Love my porch, but it does get dirty. The rain can’t wash the front of the house off. Lots of dust and fly specks. Hello to washing my garage door windows. I’m embarrassed by how long they’ve needed it. Especially, when I equate the amount of time it took to go out there and clean them. Seriously!!! Why do I do that?! 🙂 Hopefully I’m not the only one who ever procrastinates on small things. {or not so small.}
Hello to a couple of farm trips and hello to seeing this herd of buffalo……..Hello to having a fuel barrel worked on……..Hello to a quick peek at a friends remodel project on their house and lending a hand while she painted the ceiling in one bedroom.
Hello to washing my kitchen cupboards and hello to a thunderstorm and our electric going out for a couple of hours. The kiddos had already taken their showers, but we adults weren’t as smart. Moral of the story: If it looks stormish, get your showers taken!!
We had high winds with the storm and there were branches down here the next morning. There were lots of branches and trees blown down throughout the county.
Hello beautiful big sky and puffy clouds!
Hello to the kiddos staying at Grandma’s for a few hours and staying at a friend’s house one afternoon. Hello to Renae learning a new knitting stitch and working on a dishcloth in a new pattern.
Hello Rocky Mountains! Hello Colorado! Hello back home again and piles of laundry and the catch-up that always comes after a busy week and after time away!

It is awesome to see the variety God created across the country…and across the world! I’ve never been outside the U. S. but it’s always neat to see pictures or documentaries on other countries.
