I am so sorry to hear about your friend’s loss. The first thing I thought of if I lost everything in a fire was my Bible. It is so dear to me because I have read it so much and it contains so many notes. Maybe I’d give my friend a new Bible. Or a new bed quilt. Or a new outfit. Maybe a pillow or dishes.
