I'm reading through Jeremiah right now. Some advice I would give to constantly be seeking the Lord through prayer and letting the Holy Spirit guide your thoughts through the day. The Scriptures are a mirror so a person needs to be reading the Word daily and seeking to let it change him. I think introspection can be a good thing, looking at yourself and seeing what needs to be changed, just as long as one doesn't focus too much on himself. Once you see what needs to be changed, start doing something about it. And get your focus off yourself and onto others. That can really help I think too.

I am still reading Revelations and trying to understand everything it is talking about. Very scary stuff but just knowing one day He will return sets my mind at ease. I feel like Revelations as scary and horrible as it is offers us the hope that we can push through all the rough, bad stuff into a better place and come out fine on the other side. It makes us think about sharing the gospel with others before its too late and doing the right thing even when its hardest. I read a few devotions here and there and try to keep up with blogs and emails that uplift and revitalize my mind and that bring me hope and even a smile here and there. I try to challenge myself to just keep going even through the hardships of life like our family not having a vehicle right now and our transmission going out. I bike everywhere now as a physically disabled, single mom. Even my teenager won't bike or carry groceries like I do or make runs to get things we need. I feel pretty alone but at least I have built up strength to keep going and never give up even when my knee swells and gives me issues. Also the mental issues we face both me and my daughter with depression, anxiety, ptsd, and more.
Our recent move took a lot out of us and wore us down but yet I continue still. Jesus and God give me that hope, that faith, and the strength to continue. I see others who have it so much worse than we do. I am one of the lucky ones in the fact that even physically disabled I rely and pray and talk to God who sustains me. And that is also the theme of Revelations, He sustains and gives us hope, faith and strength to keep going.

Currently, I'm reading daily devotionals to learn more about how God truly feels towards us and how He wants us to turn to Him always, no matter how small the matter may seem to me. God always listens! I'm not sure I can offer any advice other than if someone is not handling stress or life events well, getting professional help is not to be ashamed of and is a really great way to support mental health. If someone is thinking about seeking counseling, maybe God is nudging them in that direction.
