Today, I’m bringing a favorite t-shirt of mine.
I’ve worn it a lot this summer.
I like the design. Simple with a touch of fancy. I like the color. I like that it is lightweight and cool and comfy.

My flexi is the Hibiscus Sea in a mini.
This same style is available in bright fuschia and gold, called the Hibiscus Sunset.
Or you can browse around at my Lilla Rose site right here and check out all the other styles!
My oldest niece came out with my parents in July and she was here while they were and then she stayed when they headed home because her parents {my sis and bro-in-law} were heading this direction in a few days!
It was fun to have her here by herself for a few days. That hadn’t ever happened before.
She snapped these pictures for me one morning.
She really likes photography and edititng.
You can find her photography on Instagram here.
My Praying For My Husband leather wrap bracelet! {It’s in this post, too and there are details about where to find it in this post.}
I’ve had these Croc flip-flops since the beginning of summer, but I don’t believe they’ve made it into a wardrobe post. They’re navy and I’ve really liked having a navy pair of flip-flops for certain outfits. Plus, I really like my other pairs of Croc flip-flops. These fit a little snug across the top of my foot in comparison to my others. I wasn’t sure at first if they were going to work, but after I wore them a time or two, they are fine.
I think these slides are really cute too, but slides aren’t the best choice for me. Too easy to SLIDE out of! {Cracking myself up here. Ahem.} {Easily entertained.}
The color and stripes on these flip-flops are also adorable!
Do you have flip-flop favorites? And a favorite tee?
{I have a post about some of my favorites flip-flopsΒ here.}
In other mundane and trivial news, on Wednesday afternoon, I went on a pick-up-the-pretty-pouch-of-pens-that-I-lost hunt.
My mother-in-law had cataractΒ surgery on Tuesday afternoon. I drove her to the hospital to be her ride home, post-surgery. I drug along my bag with a couple of books and Bible study and pretty pouch of pens. PREPARED. Waiting is never toooo long if you go prepared with books. Or whatever else you enjoy and is your total jam! Knitting is another of my take-along projects.
Once the nurse came and took her back for surgery, I went and ran an errand or three and then I hiked back to the waiting area. I settled myself in one of the chairs and pulled out my pens and study. I laid the pouch on a small table beside my chair. AS I DID THIS, I thought to myself, “I don’t know if that’s the smartest idea. You should probably stick them back in your bag, because I’d say there’s a good chance you’ll forget them.”
But, I guess I either had more confidence in my remembering skills than I should even begin to think about having or I wanted to test them out or the thought was gone as soon as it was there. I don’t know. In any event, I totally ignored my sage advice to my very own self and let the pouch of pens rest on the table as I commenced to open my study book.
Before so very long another nurse came and called for me with the good news that the operation was over and my mother-in-law was doing fine and was eating a muffin. I stuffed my books into my bag and slung it over my shoulder and followed the nurse back to the recovery room.
They went over a few things and then I soon headed to the parking lot to pull my vehicle around and pick up Mom to head home.
No thoughts at all about pens, of course!
That evening as I emptied out my bag and put my books away, I realized NO POUCH OF PENS! Sure enough. I’d done exactly what I thought I might when I laid them on the table. LEFT THEM THERE. Power of suggestion???
I had to chuckle.
Mom had to go back in for a checkup at the eye doctor the next morning.
Now, my pouch of pens was no life or death situation or huge consuming loss, but since I was in town anyway, I swung by the hospital to see if the lost had been found and if they would be around anywhere for me to find. It had also crossed my mind that there was a good chance they might still be laying exactly where I left them.
Into the hospital I went and up to the third floor. The table held the same scattered magazines, but no pouch of pens. I turned a couple of corners and walked up to the nurses station. I started to ask the nurse at the desk about my silly pouch of pens when I spied it tucked over at the corner of the counter by a box of Kleenex.
“That’s what I came to ask you about.” I said with a laugh. The nurse smiled in return and replied, “Oh, this is yours?” as I explained and she handed it to me. I thanked her and retraced my steps back to my car, pouch and pens in hand.
I decided I could chalk it up to experience, adventure and extra exercise!!! Haha!
Have a happy Friday!
