I’m often on the lookout for simple ways and details to add a bit of bright and beauty to my home.
I believe beauty is a blessing and creating it in our homes inspires us and the people we love.

I’d noticed some cute paperclips in a picture of a planner.
I knew they’d be super easy to do and would make great page markers for my planner or in my cookbooks to tag favorite recipes or recipes I’d like to try.
The next time I was close to an Office Max, I ran inside and found some large, gold paperclips.
I already had these spiral clips. They’d been in my drawer for a long, long time.
I gathered some spools of ribbons ans scraps of ribbon and scissors and the paperclips.
Then I snipped and tied. Snipped and tied.
Presto!
Cheery, embellished paper clips!
I marked a few dates on my planner and stuck one on my current page.
Then I marked some favorite recipes in this favorite book!
Next, I go all fancy and used a pom-pom on a paperclip!
BECAUSE, pom-poms!!
Little things that spark joy and make you smile! They bless life.
In summary:
If YOU would like to put together your own ribbons and paper clips, here’s what you need.
- Large, gold paper clips
- Spiral Paper Clips
- Ribbon
- Scissors
- Tying Skills
- Books or planner
Cut your ribbon to desired length. Loop through clip. Tie in place. Mark a page with your fancy-dancy clip! Smile big!

This is The Purposeful Planner from Corie Clark. Are you on Instagram? I follow on there and the website is in profile or search corieclarkshop.com.
I bought mine in a fundraiser auction. I do really like it. Each day is a full page. I also like how heavy duty it is.
Have a great day! 🙂

I like the spiral clips – I’ve never seen them before. Do you think it would look okay to use embellished clips to make bows for presents?
deborah says
I’ve had the spiral clips for a long time and I don’t remember where I got them.
I think the embellished clips would look adorable on a gift package! It would be lots of fun to play around with this idea and try out some different things.
