I’m currently working through this Whispers of Hope Prayer journal and devotional. I didn’t take time to show you the inside. My apologies. It’s a format I like. It gives a Bible passage to read, followed by a devotional page. Each day is completed with two pages to journal prayers. Beth Moore uses a P.R.A.I.S.E. format as the outline for different areas of prayer.
P = Praise. Begin each day with praise and adoration for our great God.
R = Repentance. Pour out our sins, regrets, and guilt.
A= Acknowledgement. Recognize His lordship in our lives.
I = Intercession. Tell Him all about the needs of those we love.
S = Supplication for Self. Pour out your heart.
E = Equipping. Ask for His Spirit and equipping in every way for every day.
I like this focus and direction.
Also currently {and slowly} reading through this book. Word by Word by Marilyn McEntyre. I’ve found it to be amazing, thought-provoking, and formational.
I’ve been knitting dishcloths! I finally remembered to pull my knitting needles and yarn out. I placed one by my desk and I knit along as I watch Tuesday Teachers inside of hope*writers. I grabbed another set and placed in my living room. I find myself picking it up for a few rows here and there throughout the day.
I love the bright cheerful colors in both these balls of yarn. They make me happy.
The movie I Still Believe is available on DVD this week, as well as digital download! Keep an eye out! I have a giveaway opportunity for it coming this Friday. Hooray! {I have a May Day Giftaway on IG right now, but it ends tonight! Hop over and join me there and enter, if you’d like!}
I was in a facebook chat about memoirs this week. It made me think of these three books. I thought I’d share them in the chance you like memoir and would enjoy a recommendation or three!
Adorning the Dark by Andrew Peterson is especially inspirational for any person who pursues creative endeavors. Be it writing, music, art, composing and so forth, Adorning the Dark will encourage. It’s authentic and weighty and beautifully shared.
IF you’ve been around long at all with me here at A Delightful Glow, you’ll know I love Flash by Rachel Anne Ridge. Walking With Henry is lovely too. Both books share struggles and questions in a gentle disarming voice. You’ll laugh at Flash and Henry, commiserate with them, and find a friend in Rachel Anne Ridge.
Sometimes life simply calls for the wisdom, simplicity, and character of Winnie-the-Pooh. I’ve been leafing through the pages again. Winnie Pooh is a looooooong time favorite of mine. He’s the best. He teaches friendship. He shows how to enjoy the simplest things in life. He portrays trust. He’s willing to lend a hand. A red balloon will make his day. {And a pot of hunny does too!} He’s grateful. At the end of the day, slipping his hand into Christopher Robin’s or taking a walk with Piglet are all he requires to equal happiness.
Well done, A.A. Milne. Well done. #Timeless
A few fun stickers for Bible journaling! Which one would you use first?! A couple of my favorite Etsy shops for stickers are Raising Up Rubies and my niece’s, The Meadowlarke.
I like this gold pen for lettering. I really like my Staedtler pens for writing small in my Bible. Do you have favorites? I’m a pen and pencil enthusiast!! 🙂
Joining Ginny for May Yarn Along!
What projects do you have going? If it’s yarn related, a favorite yarn or color you’ve been using? Happy day, friends!
