What happened last week? As always, a bit of this and a bit of that..
Hot tea~ teacup from my Grandma’s things
snapping some photos of this cute miss and taking some family pictures of her family for them
My man played home decorator in our garage! I like the way it has come together. He had some old John Deere signs and an old seed sign. He’s got a couple other signs that might go out there eventually, along with some of his toy tractors.
He was wanting to get the garage stuff done anyway, but was inspired to last week because…
Some friends of ours hosted a video series event and we offered our garage for a bit of extra space, since they weren’t sure their living room would hold everyone thinking about coming. So, Matthew spent some time finishing up some trim in the garage and hanging the signs he’s had over in his shed.
We watched the first session of Learn the Bible in 24 Hours, by Chuck Missler. Lots of information. Much of it over my head! Very interesting! I enjoyed it.
Renae finished this slipcover for a stool that she brought home from my Grandma’s.
Fruit cups…
This is the way we wash a sign, wash a sign….
Loved the lighting look around my oil diffuser, one evening…
Another sign…more garage pics..
My sister gave me this cute tag. I hung it on the garage door going into our living room. We keep most of our shoes on shelves right beside the door in the garage. I’ve had the tag for a little while, so it was fun to hang it up, along with the wreath, now that the garage is pretty much finished. {I guess I played home decorator in the garage as well! 😉 }
Chicken Noodle Soup~ recipe from my cousin. I’d been wanting to make it sometime. She brought it to me when I was down-and-out back in May. So delicious!
Look at these darling jars coming out in 2015! PURPLE!!!! I’m a lover of purple.
And this recipe for Loaded Soft & Chewy M&M Cookie Pie sounds delicious and looks easy and fun to try! And it’s pretty!
Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Philippians 4:7 MSG
We attended some homeschool basketball games to watch some friends and some cousins play.
We did chores for my brother-in-law. I rode along with Matthew on Saturday and forgot to take my camera. I was seriously annoyed. Well, I didn’t really forget to take my camera. I just didn’t take it and didn’t think about taking it, until we were almost there. I could’ve taken some really fun photos of his black cow herd. I’m still kinda annoyed.
A friend and I chatted about food and fixing it and how in a sense it is part of a love language and we enjoy fun snacks for our people. It made me think of this blog, Love Bakes Good Cakes. I thought this was such a cute blog name the first time I came across it. I’ve linked up over there sometimes.
My Bible study ladies are getting ready to start a study on James in February. I’m excited about it.
Boo Mama’s new book became available last week! Which totally rocks! I am anxiously awaiting its arrival on my doorstep. Hurry over to Big Mama’s right now to enter a giveaway.
I came across this old post on my blog of my son roasting hot dogs. I was amazed at how little he looks. Also, of interest, while he used to like hot dogs occasionally, he really isn’t too crazy about them anymore. Neither of my kids ever ate them a lot, but he did used to like them quite a bit better than he does now. Interesting to me how change is always happening.
We had a carry-in dinner after we watched the video. One friend brought a dish with those Chow Mien rice noodles on top. It was yummy. I like the crunch the noodles add, but I forget about them. Hoping I think about incorporating them into a meal around here soon. I’m always glad to be inspired.

Galatians 5:26
We will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse. We have far more interesting things to do with out lives. Each of us is an original.
Psalm 112:7-8
He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is secure, he will have no fear, in the end he will triumph on his foes.

I love how your garage turned out! I love old signs and those are just perfect for you guys! And that ceiling – I’m still crushing on that ceiling even though you didn’t even show it in this post.
That ottoman cover is great! I LOVE that she is so into creating with textiles! Any time she wants to come apprentice with me send her out 😀
The signs are perfect for us, aren’t they?! I’m pretty excited about our garage too. It’s turned out really fun. I hadn’t given it too much thought, so it seems like it’s just been a fun surprise. I love the ceiling too.
I really enjoy seeing Rae~J’s creations. It is fun. Most of the stuff, I wouldn’t want to do myself and I just love seeing her actually do it and how it is part of her and how much she enjoys it. It really goes with her personality when I think of it. She’s always “created” in her play ever since she was little. Whether it was setting up a Polly town or pretending she didn’t have a hand!
