Apparently the things around my home want to break down, but are, perhaps, a little scared of the mistress of the home?
A little over a year ago we had trouble with our water well and had to spend money and deal with the hassle of having it replaced. Here’s the thing~it decided to go out while I was away from home and it was fixed till I arrived back home. I appreciated that if it had to misbehave, that it timed it in this manner.
Last week I woke up in the early morning hours and thought it was a little warm and stuffy in our house. The a/c was running, but I was pretty sure it wasn’t cooling. Really not wanting to think that, I went back to sleep.
When I got up in the morning, I was positive it was not cooling. My man had left the house early for an early-morning meeting. {That sorta makes sense that if you have an early morning meeting, you would leave early.}
He texted me later and when I replied to him, I reported that though I really didn’t want to tell him this, I was sure our a/c was not working and I had turned it off.
{Hated to tell him something else was broke, ’cause he’d already dealt with pick-up trouble earlier in the week.} {On an aside, AAA towing comes in handy!} {And this was before he had a flat tire on his chisel on one of the hottest days ever this year.}
I had to leave for a chiro appointment and my husband said he’d call the a/c guy. On my way home from my appointment, I grabbed lunch for Matthew and went by the tractor. He reported that the a/c should be working and to let him know if it wasn’t.
So, once again I basically missed the outage. Let’s just say I didn’t mind at all.
So, see? Theses things know they are really supposed to behave!!! 😉
I did chuckle about the a/c timing.
BECAUSE…………………….
1. Some of the hottest weather we’ve had all summer last week.
AND
2. We just got rid of the remaining window air conditioners from our old house at the beginning of last week.
Isn’t that so the ironic details of life???????
Last week there was some sort of something happening every evening and Mr. Farmer spent a lot of hours in the tractor, putting on fertilizer, and a good bit of time checking systems and working on a system motor. Too busy.
I didn’t pick my camera up very much at all. I snapped inanimate object photos a few times.
I truly love this kind of photography. In part, because it is often things I use and love and find beauty in.
Back in the winter, my son put a bag of snow in the freezer. He remembered it last week and decided to get a bit of it out. He was out on the porch and I did snap this photo, but the small bit was smaller than ever and fast disappearing!
A few weeks ago I printed out some free marriage printables and laminated them and stuck them above my bathroom sink. Marriage doesn’t just happen and I like good reminders and inspiration. And I’ve been liking these mini posters above my sink too, because I don’t love the tile on the wall and it gives it a little different look and dimension. {Find printables and a good read here.}
I found them either on fb or Pinterest and added them to my A Heart for Marriage Pinterest board.
Another birthday gift arrived last week. I seriously love spread out celebrations! 🙂
The orange with the buttons is a darling table runner!
Still wanting to blog about table runners as I mentioned in a previous Monday post…..

Company coming~supper to fix~things gone awry………

It works out in the end. But easier if it just goes according to plan.
Sun shades found for one of the tractors on our farm. {Did you know tractors wore shades?!}
The little ironies in life can be quite amusing – or distressing as the case may be!
Love that Tucker put snow in the freezer and got it out this summer! What a fun guy he is 🙂
I totally forgot he had done that. I’ve found it a couple of times and thought, “What is this?” Then I remember and stick it back and promptly forget again that it’s in there.
