More Memory Making Moments.
That’s what our days and weeks are.
Life lived.
Moments captured.
Praise to God.
Time ever flowing on.
There are good moments when we want to hold on longer and hard places when we are glad that we keep moving on.
What memories did you make last week?
Link up below!
Broncos at the Colts! One number we agree on, though!
Our week went by…
A land auction of some farmground that we farmed, on Monday. We watch the acres that we farm diminish, but God has blessed us with ground to farm for seventeen years. We’ll continue if that’s what His plan for us is!
Coming home one evening to Cooper barking and barking…at a skunk in our backyard!! Ewww!! The kiddos got Cooper to come to them and put him in his kennel. Matthew didn’t want to shoot such a smelly critter so close to the house, so Mr. Skunk was left alone and must have meandered away. We went to bed!
Cooper’s other adventure for the week: Trespassing over to our neighbor’s and discovering a new playmate in their free-range chickens! I guess he thought this was as much fun as chasing our cats. We didn’t see any of it happen and our neighbors didn’t either, but it seems he brought one of their chickens back to our house…alive though! Tucker discovered it and rescued the poor chicken, and we then delivered it back to our neighbors. Not too impressed with the situation and we sincerely hope Cooper isn’t going to make wandering off OR bothering chickens his new habits. 🙁
We hugged a little tighter this week after hearing sad news of an accident and death of the son of friends I used to baby-sit for. Many prayers and thoughts of God’s care to fully envelope them.
There was mending done and meals delivered to the field.
Reading books in the evening, cuddled into a cozy blanket and comfy chair.
Hello to chatting with my sister…it seems we text and e-mail more than phone calls at this point in life.
Tucker helped Grandma finish digging carrots and burn the pile of vines from garden clean-up.
Hello to flexi-fun! tee-hee!
I’m going to set up with Lilla Rose at a couple of craft shows, so I spent some time thinking about that. Excited and nervous all rolled together. Love my Lilla Rose stuff, but I’m not much of a salesperson. Not sure what I was thinking when I signed up??! I have always enjoyed the times I’ve helped at garage sales or farmer’s markets. It’s interesting to see who comes and what they’re interested in. So it will be fun! {the power of positive thinking} 🙂
Hello to wheat all drilled and custom-cutting a circle of beans. One of the irrigation systems checked by my farmer man this summer.
The evenings are lengthening…it’s getting dark much earlier!
We had a Farm Bureau dinner, apples to pick up, a quick peek at a friend’s house project~kitchen cupboards going in~Hooray!
A shower of rain, finishing cutting beans, taxi-ing back and forth, a few hours with friends, Gooey Bars to make,
