I used to go, go, go, ALL the time. When my boys were younger I worked full time, went to school part time, and when I wasn’t at work or school I would find somewhere to go, Target, the grocery, etc. Now that I homeschool and don’t work I find myself gravitating more and more to home. Maybe it’s my age, don’t know. When there is someplace to go I am ready and willing, but if I have to choose I am preferring to stay home. I am not quite ready to hand over the grocery shopping yet – I’m a little too particular about prices and brands to do that.

I like to stay at home! I like the occasional day out but more and more I just want to stay home. Hey, I don’t even grocery shop anymore! If I need something in town and there is a way my hubby can get it for me I let him. My kids don’t seem to mind. They never beg me to take them somewhere just to get away from home. They have certain things they like and want to do but for the most part they like to stay home. And they are old enough now to stay home alone as long as the 13 year old is around!

Being a home body only becomes more ingrained the older you get! After all, home is where the heart is and home is where my heart feels the most at home!!! There are a few exceptions—–I feel at home in my children’s homes and would go there more often if I could. “However so humble, there’s no place like home” And someday we will all be HOME—forever! (At one point in time, I never would have thought that a certain little girl would move 900 miles away from her Mother!) I love that your kiddos love home.
