My big toe hurts.
It hurts because part of the toenail got ripped and then came off way too far back. Makes for a sore toe. Amazing how something like a toenail can beΒ such a bother. When it’s doing its job and everything’s good I don’t even notice it or think about it being there. But, boy do I notice when something causes it to be malfunctioning.
My poor, little son has been sick.
As in coughing, wheezing, generally not feeling well at all. Which in turn makes me not feel good. Not sick-not-feel-good, butΒ not feel goodΒ because I want to fix it and make it all better. As in bothers me worse than my big toe and its toenail.
We saw the P.A. yesterday and she gave him medicine for the nebulizer and a prescription for Zithromax. Well, she gave him prescriptions for the above medicines and DillonsΒ fixed us up. I can tell that he looks perkierΒ today and he slept much better last night. Tuesday night was kind of a rough night with lots of coughing and not nearly as much sleep as would’ve been nice.
My son used a nebulizer quite a bit when he was younger. Between one and four years of age it seemed like we needed it a lot. Almost every time he had a cold or respiratory type infection, it would make him very wheezy. We hadn’t had to pull the nebulizer out for, literally years. In fact, that very thought went through my mind, when I pulled the nebulizer out at our old house to move it over to our new house.
It’s not fun to watch your child struggle to breathe. And he has never been nearly as bad as some kids areΒ who have asthma etc. I’m thankful for medicine that can help open up those airways.
My husband and daughter both have been coughing some too. Hope this soon moves on.
The work on the garage and porch continues. We had some rain during the night onΒ Tuesday night. It was overcast yesterday, but the men were able to keep working until about 5:00 p.m. It started raining and continued to rain and then to pour. So, they didn’t quite accomplish all they wanted to, but that’s ok. It is overcast today, but they’ve been on a roll working away on the garage.
My parents are going to be here a couple more days and then will be heading back home to Ohio. They’ve been here almost three weeks. This is the longest amount of time they’ve spent all at once when they’ve come for a visit. I think it is going to seem kind of quiet for a couple of days after they leave. I don’t necessarily think things are going to slow down, just seem a little different after having them around for so long. It’s been so fun to have them.
This week has been flying and I feel like I’ve mostly fixed food, taken care of our little man, ran errands to the lumber yard, some laundry and I’m really not sure what else.
Just life with a project, I guess.
Hmmm. Somehow it really feels like naptime. Anyone else agree?
I don’t like it when my kids are sick either. hope he is all better soon. and that Matthew and Renae don’t get worse. it’s been a bad year for illness π
Looking forward to Mom and Dad coming home – though I know you will miss them!
Pics please of the progress!
