That is interesting! Perhaps they are slower because you are doing everything yourself. I’ve watched at Dillons and I don’t think either that they are faster. If there is a line at the register run by the cashier and I only have a few items, then I think I might get done a little faster at a self-checkout.

I do use the self checkouts at some stores, but I avoid the ones at Walmart if they’re busy. They are slower than the usual check out options when crowded. Still don’t entirely understand that.
