I'd say that letting the kids have fun more than they have to keep things cleaned up that makes us SUPER Moms in their eyes!
I like the 'having fun household club'!!
love this post:) Especially as my house is a total wreck right now due to the event we are having at the moment! Can't wait to get it back in shape:)

I vote for the "UnSupperMom Club" I was thinking something along the same lines as I briefly contemplated taking a picture of my horrific kitchen two nights ago and posting it on fb with something re: what happens when you don't get your day's mess cleaned up BEFORE starting supper. Anyways, I like choc. a lot too, so count me in! Maybe we could skype it =) Although I can't skype on my computer, but on Dh's I can.

In reply to <a href="https://adelightfulglow.com/a-club/#comment-133">Rhonda Kessler</a>.

Memories are so special! I read a quote a few months ago that I like. It was referring more to the baby and toddler stage, but it can be applied to having children any age. It said, "The days may be long, but the years are short". So true! And I love having my kids around doing their thing, even when it brings a mess with it!

How I can relate to this!! I may be past this phase in my life or am I? How with only two people can this house get in such disarray so quickly. Arrgh... One thing that help me have a neat home and a FUN at the same time was when the thought came to me to have a five minute pickup. Even dad had to get involved. Mom was the only one allowed to set the timer and any random moment and shout "five minute pickup". For the next five minutes we all madly scrambled and picked up, put away, scrubbed up, and added all the theatrics to make it fun. Really important that Dad puts the drama into it too. Was several years before the kids realized they'd been had! But we had some wonderful times. The one rule - when the timer goes off you MUST stop. They would beg to continue and I wanted so badly to continue but the only way to keep them "inspired" was to stop when they were having fun. ... oh the memories... Have a wonderful day just being a mom in a home that looks like you have kids (and fun)! Rhonda K
PS Gotta go hunt for some chocolate...
